quick project

Hi everybody I'm back and skipping ahead a bit, I know its Oct and time for Halloween projects but not quite there yet. Today I wanted to show you a project I quickly threw together literally for the My Pink Stamper Blog Hop. Its a treat box actually! Now I stuffed mine with some goodies and threw some tissue paper over it but you could do just about anything you want.

I simply took a empty pop tart box (fancy stuff i know-lol!) and covered it with some dark green card stock I purchased at Sam's Club. I took the reversible yellow floral side of another sheet and cut two 3x3 (approx)squares. One square was mounted on the green base the other was scored and tied in middle with a Martha Stewart Craft ribbon. I edged the top and bottom w coordinating piece cut in 1 -1/2 in strips and Viola simple cute treat box!

Hope this inspires you! Have blessed day and I'll try to be back soon w another project!

under the wire

Hey guys I'm really cutting this one close huh! I know its been a month can you believe it. I've been a busy little bee while my computer seems to be in flight on its own. I'm having some technical issues with it but I'm working on some type of solution for it.

That being said I thought I would share with you another card I made. No I promise this won't be a card only blog but that's practically all I've made lately. Thankfully I'm planning on actually sitting down to scrapbook some soon so maybe if the computer holds up I'll post one of those. Also Today's Scrap by Vicky Day always has some wonderful digital kits that you should checkout and some of my digital layouts our at her store Faith Sisters if you want to take a gander.

So as always here is the card please excuse the shadow. Now I have to tell you again that I'm just getting into all this stuff so remember its hard for me to adjust I use a lot of scraps I've collected so I'm not going to be able to remember everything but I will do my best to give credit where credit is due. Also my stuff is not the most fancy stuff in the world, I have two boys, lets face it I do good to get a card bought let alone made. The perfection is in the imperfection or that's what I keep telling myself anyway!

All that said here is a cute card I made-
The blank card (sized 5.5x4.25) came as a set from The Paper Studio. I think I purchased the box of 50 multicolor cards and envelopes at the Hobby Lobby with coupon. (Making it as easy as I can -just keepin it real people). Next I cut out a slightly smaller piece of green card stock and ran it through the cuttlebug with the Swiss dots embossing folder. Everything else is simply gluing scraps of cute purse paper (unknown origin) to the card and tying the pink ribbon around it. Inside I used the sentiment -Shopping cures all aliments.

I hope you enjoy this project and I would love to hear your comments and/or see any projects. I hope to update again soon but it all depends on my computer but until next time have a blessed day!

My first project card

So as I've said before I'm new at the whole card making thing. I don't know about you guys but I'm learning that for me, a card actually takes as long if not longer than a scrapbook layout. Who knew right? Well anyway I enjoy making them and have sent a few. I made my Christmas cards last year but almost had anxiety attack about my work. Its one of those things that you wonder if you really like it but will the recipient. Anyway I've come a long way lately and when I saw the call for help from a lady one of my favorite sites mypinkstamper.com I couldn't pass up the opportunity to help. In a nutshell the lady who will be hosting a breast cancer benefit asked if everyone would make at least one encouraging card for a cancer survivor. What an amazing cause and I jumped at the chance! So here is one of my cards. It looks off center I know but it was done purposefully-LOL! Inside of the stamped "Count your rainbows, not your thunderstorms" which I thought was adorable. Its from Inkadinkado kids quotes set, the card is made with the Hello Kitty cricut cartridge and I wish I could tell you about the paper but it was all scraps so sorry. Anyway I hope you like it and I would love to hear you thoughts on it good or bad! Also if you would like to check out the post itself and help with a card of you own the link is below! I should have some new layouts from Today's Scrap by Vicky Day loaded soon so keep your eye's open and above all have a blessed day and I'll talk to you soon!

You should really think about picking it up and I'll give you another reason, its only $1, now how can you beat a deal like that. You'd better hurry though its only good until the end of August!!! starting over

I haven't been around for awhile...well two years to be exact. I know it flew by but I've had so much happen in that time. Anyway I thought I would re-start the old blog here and show you some things I've been working on. A new passion is also card-making so while I still don't have any CT anymore I'll have some things I hope to show you. The first official post should be up in a few days so keep a peek out if anyone is still following and we'll have some fun! I'm not sure how many updates you'll get but I assure you it will be frequent. Thanks!
